I'm a fan of anybody who can take scientific knowledge and make information technology accessible to the boilerplate person. That makes me a fan of Neb Nye, The Scientific discipline Guy. He's also entertaining. Then much the better.

Bill Nye was born in 1955, and grew up in Washington, D.C. Later on graduating from Cornell University, he moved to Seattle to work for The Boeing Company as a mechanical engineer. In Seattle, the PBS station KCTS-TV produced the show Bill Nye the Science Guy from September 1993 to June 1998. The show aimed to teach scientific discipline to preteens. Over its 5-yr run, Bill Nye the Scientific discipline Guy won xix Emmy Awards, including 7 awards for Nye personally for writing, performing, and producing.
